Streets of Lisbon

Porque o David é um Senhor!

This comment had to be made in Portuguese as it only makes sense in that language/culture. To those of you who can’t read Portuguese, the direct translation would be “Because David is a Sir!” but it’s a sentence charged with a meaning that goes beyond the translation. In my head it always comes out with a heavy northern accent and anyone who speaks it will make an effort to speak with such accent for some reason…I know someone famous, a comedian or some football-related guy used to use it a lot (and that’s how everyone else started to use it) but I can’t trace it back now…Anyway, it just means that you have a great respect for such person.

And Lisbon is such a lovely place! I appreciate David’s work even more when it’s located there…
